This year marks the 13th year that IMUN has offered a simulation of the UN General Assembly here in Lisbon. This year marks the 3rd time we are introducing a simulation of the Security Council as well. Students represent countries either solo of in pairs and we address 6 selected agenda issues together. Thursday afternoon is spent lobbying and merging at CAISL in Sintra to take advantage of our computer facilities and we meet all day Friday and Saturday at the state-of-the-art Centro Cultural de Belem in Lisbon's historic monuments district. One minute opening speeches are made by each country Friday morning after the keynote speeches and we debate resolutions the rest of the conference. IMUN provides lunch late Thursday, a directors' dinner Thursday evening, coffee breaks, a full conference reception, and can facilitate local transportation. IMUN has arranged a block of very reasonable priced hotel rooms in Estoril for the conference days. Much more information can be found at our newly designed student website: iberian-mun.org.
